Job Summary
A multi-national corporation that provides food, shelter, clothing, and transportation products through subsidiary companies is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Utility Analytics Data Scientist in Atlanta.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Publishing internal reports and external articles and white papers to showcase company success and maintain industry thought leadership
- Contributing to intellectual property development and company representations in technical conferences and trade shows
- Assisting product engineering teams with validation and verification of end-to-end sensor system performance
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- 2+ years of experience in a Data Science position
- 2+ years experience with statistical modeling, time-series analysis, and programing tools for data science (R, Python, Matlab, etc.) and familiarity with database query languages (SQL)
- Demonstrated utility analytics experience in a technology vendor, national laboratory, or utility environment.
- Track record of prior work and/or official coursework in the analytics space as demonstrated by publications, certifications, GitHub projects, etc.
- Familiarity with electrical distribution system operations and management practices and technologies
