Remote Utilization Manager
Job Summary
A managed healthcare company has an open position for a Remote Utilization Manager.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Perform duties to authorize and review utilization of mental health and substance abuse services
- Authorize, direct and monitor care for mental health and substance abuse problems
- Report review timeliness, readmissions, and others as indicated
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Master's degree in Behavioral Health or RN
- Required to have license to practice independently
- 3+ years experience in psychiatric and/or substance abuse health care settings
- Working knowledge of utilization review procedures, mental health and substance abuse community resources
