Remote Vascular Cardiology Coder

Job Summary

To ensure accurate coding and compliance, the full-time Remote Vascular Cardiology Coder will review and assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for professional fee services while collaborating with internal teams and adhering to regulations and payer policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assign accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes based on provider documentation
• Ensure compliance with coding protocols and perform coding audits to verify documentation accuracy
• Collaborate with physicians and revenue cycle teams to address documentation gaps and improve coding practices

Required qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required
• Associate Degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred
• 2-4 years of experience in physician coding or medical billing required
• Experience with surgical coding or high-volume professional fee coding preferred
• CCS-Certified Coding Specialist (CCS-P) or equivalent coding certification required
