Job Summary

A software engineering company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Veterans Digital Services Senior Software Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

Shipping software that impacts the lives of millions of people
Using modern programming languages and frameworks to build scalable services
Working with our own APIs and third-party APIs to build amazing, effective digital services

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

Minimum 5 years’ experience developing consumer-facing web applications, services, and APIs
Experience working with Apache Kafka in a production environment
Familiarity with event-based architecture and related best practices
Cloud system design and strong technical communication
Understanding of how changes you make interact with all components in a broader system
Elaborating and evolving on complex and ambiguous products to uncover new constraints and opportunities
