Job Summary
A for profit corporation created to manage the assets and conduct business for Alaska Native shareholders has a current position open for a Remote Web Content Specialist.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Providing web content management services in support of the organization's strategic goal, including researching, developing, writing, editing, and proofreading content
- Reviewing current website content and rewriting content in a friendly "how-to" style that encourages website visitors to take action
- Editing and writing human-centered, creative, and empathetic content
Required Skills:
- At least three years of experience in-depth knowledge of writing, editing, proofreading, online content strategy creation and application
- Proficiency in writing clear, persuasive copy with a distinct voice
- Ability to interpret copywriting briefs to form a better understanding of project requirements, while collaborating with Federal employees, subject matter experts, and other professionals
- Demosntrated knowledgeable and skills in conducting high-quality research and interviews
- Proven experience as a copywriter or related role
- Ability to maintain adherence to Section 508 accessibility, plain-language needs, and other federal requirements for government websites
