Job Summary

A mortgage company has a current position open for a Remote Wholesale Mortgage Underwriter.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Reviewing loan applications and identify missing or incorrect information
  • Calculating consumers’ income and examining credit histories, assets, and collateral
  • Analyzing property standards against appraisal values

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related experience in the mortgage industry
  • 3+ years of loan processing experience
  • 0-3 years of underwriting experience
  • Basic understanding of credit
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and review financial documents
  • General knowledge of loan origination investor guidelines and federal and state compliance regulations
