Job Summary
Supporting the Army War College, the part-time ACL Lab Writing Coach will provide online one-on-one writing consultations and paper reviews for students across various educational programs, working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one writing consultations and provide feedback on course papers and research projects
- Guide students in pre-writing strategies, argumentation, organization, style, grammar, and mechanics
- Utilize Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 for word processing and data entry tasks related to student writing submissions
Required qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in English, rhetoric, communication studies, or a closely aligned discipline
- Proficiency in English with experience tutoring students in writing in an academic setting
- Basic knowledge of writing center scholarship, theories, and practices
- Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365
- Ability to pass a background check
