Job Summary

Providing effective telephonic interpretation, the Remote Yiddish Interpreter will handle inbound calls on demand while facilitating communication for the Limited English Proficient community, working as an independent contractor in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective telephonic remote interpreting services
• Answer inbound calls in a timely manner and deliver superior customer service
• Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct and all relevant policies and procedures

Required qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Yiddish
• Proficiency in technology, including web-based platforms and Microsoft Word
• A quiet and secure interpreting space free from outside noise
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry-specific certifications or training preferred (e.g., CMI, CCHI)
