Renewable Energy Development Designer

Job Summary

Supporting utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects, the full-time Renewable Energy Development Designer will focus on site design, grading, and layout development using Civil 3D and PVFarm in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop site layouts, grading plans, and early-phase design packages using AutoCAD Civil 3D and PVFarm
• Evaluate site constraints and layout options to support project feasibility for renewable energy projects
• Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to refine designs from concept through early development deliverables

Required qualifications

• Associate or technical degree in Engineering Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in civil design, site development, or utility-scale renewable projects
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with PVFarm or similar layout tools preferred
• Experience supporting utility-scale solar, wind, or battery storage projects preferred
