Renewable Energy Project Developer

Job Summary

Leading the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects, the full-time Remote Renewable Energy Project Developer will manage complex billion-dollar portfolios, overseeing project lifecycles from site origination to NTP, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior developers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead greenfield utility-scale renewable development projects across multiple ISO/RTO power markets
• Manage the project lifecycle from site origination, permitting, interconnection, to revenue contract negotiations
• Mentor mid-senior development teams and engage in complex commercial negotiations

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy, including wind, solar PV, and energy storage
• Proven track record of developing project de-risking strategies and taking projects from greenfield to NTP/COD
• Solid understanding of the interconnection process and experience with various project agreements
• Hands-on experience with real estate and land transactions for renewable projects
• Previous roles in project development management or related positions in renewable energy
