Job Summary
Leading project development activities in the U.S. West region, the full-time Renewable Energy Project Development Director will coordinate interconnection, permitting, real estate, and engineering teams to achieve project goals while overseeing junior developers and managing project budgets and timelines.
Key responsibilities
- Manage regional project development activities, including site acquisition, permitting, and interconnection planning
- Recommend portfolio investment strategies for solar, wind, and energy storage projects
- Oversee junior developers and coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure timely project delivery
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in wind, solar, or thermal energy development, preferably in the U.S. West region
- Significant experience with CAISO and federal land development
- BA/MBA/JD in finance, law, or energy business-related fields preferred
- Proven track record of developing and bringing online large-scale solar, wind, and/or energy storage projects in the U.S
