Renewable Energy Project Engineer

Job Summary

To support the transition to renewable energy, the full-time Renewable Energy Project Engineer will perform solar resource and energy yield assessments for utility-scale and distributed PV projects while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre-construction and operational energy yield analyses, including data compilation and validation
• Manage client engagements, ensuring technical execution and effective communication of energy assessment methodologies
• Perform technical reviews and quality control of analyses and reports to maintain compliance with industry standards

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in solar resource assessment, energy yield assessment, or related fields
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Atmospheric Science, Physics, Meteorology, or a related technical discipline
• Strong understanding of solar resource assessment methodologies and energy production estimation
• Experience using PVsyst and other industry-standard solar modeling tools
• Familiarity with solar resource datasets and platforms such as Solargis or NSRDB
