Renewables Control Center Technician

Job Summary

Monitoring and controlling commercial and utility-scale wind, solar, and Battery Energy Storage facilities, the full-time Renewables Control Center Technician will operate, dispatch, and ensure the efficient status of plant systems while working remotely in a 24/7 operations environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and ticket plant communication, equipment outages, and under-production issues using SCADA and a computerized maintenance management system
• Serve as the primary point of contact with Balancing Authorities and other operational entities while maintaining effective communication
• Maintain logs of solar plant operations and schedule planned and unplanned outages with Scheduling Entities

Required Qualifications

• Experience as a control room operator for renewable generation, preferably in wind or solar
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for technical and operational problem-solving
• Knowledge of commercial and utility-scale solar electrical generating facility design and operations
• Ability to work in a high-stress environment with tight deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, TEAMS)
