Job Summary
To support the development of utility-scale energy storage projects, the full-time Renewables Environmental Permitting Specialist will manage environmental permitting analysis, filings, and compliance while working remotely across the USA.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the full-lifecycle environmental permitting process for multiple utility-scale energy storage projects
- Act as the main point of contact for environmental and regulatory agencies, preparing and submitting necessary permitting applications
- Facilitate environmental assessments, including wetlands, ESA Phase I, cultural resource surveys, and T&E Species reports
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of project development permitting and environmental experience in the Power/Renewable Energy Infrastructure Sector
- Experience with environmental zoning analysis and permitting plans for energy infrastructure sites
- Hands-on experience collaborating with Project Developers on permitting and environmental project risks
- Must have experience with environmental assessments related to wetlands, ESA Phase I, cultural resource surveys, and T&E Species reports
- Understanding of national energy markets and their environmental permitting requirements is preferred
