Renewal Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Renewal Underwriter to support underwriting and policy servicing for small commercial business renewal accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned renewals, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of policy transactions
• Engage with agencies and internal staff to support renewal retention and financial objectives
• Conduct risk selection, rating, and pricing for commercial lines accounts within delegated authority

Required Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience required
• At least 3+ years of multi-line commercial lines underwriting experience with an insurance carrier
• AU professional industry designation highly preferred; ongoing professional development expected
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high volume of policy transactions
• General knowledge of computer operating systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office software
