Renewals Underwriter

Job Summary

Reviewing and analyzing existing policies for renewal, the full-time remote Renewals Underwriter I will manage risk evaluations, determine pricing and coverage terms, and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Review individual risks and determine pricing and coverage terms in accordance with company guidelines
• Gather and verify information from third-party services, ensuring accuracy of premiums and documentation
• Collaborate with the Renewal Underwriting Team to process renewals and midterm change requests efficiently

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2+ years of insurance experience in customer service, audit, underwriting, or sales roles
• Minimum one year of experience with commercial lines, preferably in workers' compensation or other P&C lines
• Experience using web-based research tools for business verification, such as OSHA and SAFER
• Familiarity with Insurity and Salesforce preferred
