Repository Support Technician

Job Summary

Overseeing sample management and maintenance duties for a local client, the full-time Repository Support Technician will perform equipment maintenance, ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and assist with inventory management in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform sample handling and equipment maintenance in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and calibration of storage environments, including diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions
• Manage inventory of consumables and supplies, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance with audit trails

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma with 1 year of experience in equipment maintenance or 6 months of experience in freezer repair and maintenance
• Vocational training or experience in a mechanical-related field is preferred
• Experience with scientific equipment repairs is a plus
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks safely
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for basic and intermediate functions
