Research Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Research Accountant responsible for analyzing financial information and performing various accounting duties related to sponsored project financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fund set-ups and modifications as needed
• Analyze and reconcile grant funds and accounts, identifying errors or discrepancies
• Communicate with internal and external contacts to ensure accuracy of post-award support for fund administration

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent education and work experience
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Ability to use Microsoft Office 365 software
• Proficiency with financial systems such as Banner Finance and COEUS
• Previous experience in research accounting in a non-profit or higher education environment is preferred
