Job Summary
Offering a fully remote consultancy opportunity, the Research Analyst - Middle East will contribute to conflict analysis, author original outputs, and support data management while working approximately 20 hours per week with potential for up to 30 hours.
Key responsibilities
- Author original analytical outputs focusing on the Middle East, collaborating with the Senior Analyst and Global teams
- Support data collection and enrichment efforts, enhancing regional coverage and identifying new local sources
- Provide expert analysis and commentary for stakeholders, media, and during outreach events
Required qualifications
- Master's Degree in Political Science, Social Sciences, Geography, Sociology focused on conflict studies, or equivalent
- At least two years of experience in conflict analysis and providing insights to diverse audiences
- Extensive knowledge of politics and society in Yemen, Iraq, and/or the Gulf
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization software, as well as the ACLED dataset
