Research Assistant

Job Summary

To support a project developing AI tools for memory research, the full-time Research Assistant will focus on software development, coding, and data analysis, including building a user-friendly web platform for automated scoring of autobiographical memories, while working remotely with an eastern-time-zone schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Designing and building a web platform for researchers to upload data and receive automated memory scores
• Curating datasets and fine-tuning language models to enhance memory content scoring
• Documenting the platform and creating tutorials for users

Required qualifications

• Strong Python skills and experience with data manipulation
• Basic machine learning knowledge (equivalent to at least an introductory course)
• Experience with website development and model hosting (preferred)
• Competence in programming and comfort working with data
• Basic knowledge of cognitive psychology or memory research is a plus but not expected
