Research Assistant

Job Summary

Supporting the design and execution of applied research initiatives, the part-time hourly Research Assistant will collaborate on projects related to child welfare, juvenile justice, and behavioral health, contributing to data collection and analysis while translating findings for various stakeholders in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of special research projects, including literature reviews and manuscript editing
• Collect and analyze data using quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods techniques from various sources
• Prepare and present research findings to internal and external teams and assist in developing research proposals for publications and conferences

Required qualifications:

• Current graduate students encouraged to apply; coursework or experience in research methods, social sciences, public policy, or a related field preferred
• Familiarity with quantitative analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel and SPSS, as well as qualitative analysis programs like ATLAS.ti and Dedoose
• Experience with Qualtrics for survey creation, distribution, and analysis
• Detail-oriented with the ability to connect research findings to broader social impact trends
• Grant writing experience preferred but not required
