Research Assistant - AI Project

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Research Assistant for the AI Patent Classification Project.

Key Responsibilities

• Manually inspect and code patent text to classify architectural types
• Assist with model development, including preparing training data and implementing BERT-based classifiers
• Run code under faculty guidance to generate research-ready labels from the full patent corpus

Required Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements and applicable minimal enrollment standards
• Strong English reading and comprehension skills
• Demonstrated programming ability in Python and R
• Interest in research related to artificial intelligence or machine learning is preferred
