Job Summary
Seeking a full-time salaried Research Associate, this position will conduct climate analyses related to hydroclimate variability and fire weather, communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences, and collaborate on study design with various stakeholders, with options for remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analyses on hydroclimate variability and fire weather impacts on economic risk in the Pacific Northwest
- Communicate analytical methods and results to both scientific and non-technical audiences through various formats
- Collaborate with OCCRI, OCS, and other partners to design high-quality analyses on relevant hydroclimate topics
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Earth science, atmospheric science, or a related field
- Understanding of hydroclimate and fire weather science
- Expertise in analyzing global climate models
- Experience applying climate data to assess financial risk
- Ability to communicate complex climate topics to diverse audiences
