Job Summary
Supporting the Executive Director in a fully remote capacity, the full-time Research Associate will engage in policy research, data analysis, product development, and public communication to advance carbon removal initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary research projects through literature reviews, informational interviews, and data analysis
- Support the development and maintenance of C-QuIP, ensuring the tool's performance and managing a specific section of the database
- Respond to rapid inquiries regarding current events and policy developments, translating findings into written materials and data visualizations
Required qualifications
- 4-5 years of combined university and relevant work experience in climate, academia, engineering, mathematics, or a related field
- Comfort with scientific research practices, language, and tools
- Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience in writing, editing, and public speaking, with or without the use of AI tools
- Willingness to engage in team-building activities and share knowledge about carbon removal
