Job Summary
To support the Department of State's Bureau of Arms Control and Nonproliferation, the part-time Research Associate will analyze data and reports related to the FIRST program, conduct open-source research, and assist in developing infographics and dashboards for project evaluations.
Key responsibilities
- Support data collection efforts remotely through interviews, surveys, and other instruments
- Conduct qualitative research, literature reviews, and desktop studies with guidance from the project team
- Draft reports and presentations based on evaluation findings and assist in data visualization
Required qualifications
- Minimum BA in a relevant field (National Security, International Relations, International Development, etc.) plus one year of relevant work experience
- Experience in applied research and project monitoring and evaluation for donor-funded projects
- Understanding of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) principles
- Familiarity with qualitative analysis techniques and survey development
- Quantitative analysis capabilities, including proficiency in Excel
