Research Associate
Job Summary
Collaborating with PhD economists, the full-time Research Associate will engage in economic research and analysis, programming economic models, and contributing to policy briefings and academic publications while working onsite in Kansas City, MO, with some remote flexibility.
Key responsibilities
- Assist PhD economists with policy briefings and academic research projects
- Gather and analyze data, program economic models, and create visual presentations on economic conditions
- Participate in econometric research, write for Bank publications, and deliver presentations to civic and educational groups
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in economics or a closely related field such as statistics, mathematics, or computer science
- Coursework or experience in economics; econometrics, mathematics, statistics, and computer science experience highly desirable
- Proficiency in programming languages and statistical software such as Stata, R, Python, or Matlab
- Strong academic record and experience with empirical research and data analysis
