Research Associate in Neurology

Job Summary

Seeking a motivated Research Associate in Neurology, the full-time position will focus on drug discovery for rare and severe disorders by administering antisense oligonucleotides, processing tissue samples, and analyzing data in a laboratory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to in vivo studies in rodents to screen drug compounds for efficacy and tolerability, including preparing dosing solutions and performing necropsies
• Generate biochemical analyses using techniques such as RT-qPCR and western blotting
• Prepare data presentations and assist in interpreting findings to identify suitable drug candidates for human clinical trials

Required qualifications

• B.S./M.S. degree in Biology or a related field
• Experience with standard molecular biology techniques strongly preferred
• Experience with rodent surgery/handling preferred
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a laboratory team
