Research Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support clinical research initiatives, the full-time Research Billing Specialist will perform Medicare coverage analysis, ensure compliance with clinical trial contracts, and serve as the primary contact for complex research billing workflows in a 100% remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Medicare coverage analysis and assist in research study activations within HealthLink (EPIC)
• Review clinical trial charges to ensure adherence to Medicare coverage rules and contracts
• Collaborate with clinical research departments and provide training on research billing processes

Required qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Health Care, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Two years of research billing, financial analysis, or coding experience
• Two years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle or clinic operations role with Epic billing experience
• One year of experience in research billing or research operations
• Experience working in OnCore is preferred
