Research Contracts Program Manager

Job Summary

Experienced research contracts negotiators will find a full-time salaried opportunity as a Research Contracts Program Manager, responsible for managing a portfolio of complex sponsored research agreements while collaborating with faculty and external partners to protect the University's interests.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently review, draft, negotiate, and execute various research-related agreements, including federal contracts and foundation grant agreements
• Lead contract negotiations with academic institutions, industry sponsors, and government agencies, ensuring compliance with legal and financial standards
• Analyze agreement terms to identify risks and negotiate solutions that align with University policies and research objectives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience negotiating sponsored research agreements for a university or similar organization
• Demonstrated experience with research-related agreements, including Sponsored Research Agreements and federal contracts
• Experience negotiating terms related to intellectual property, publication rights, and compliance with sponsor regulations
• Ability to independently lead negotiations while balancing institutional risk and research objectives
