Research Data Scientist

Job Summary

Working remotely full-time, the Research Data Scientist I will utilize statistical, mathematical, and predictive modeling techniques to analyze complex datasets and develop algorithms that support research initiatives from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize programming skills in languages such as SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, Python, or MATLAB to perform data analytics and generate insights
• Assist Principal Investigator in transforming data to support research questions and develop predictive and statistical models
• Curate and process complex clinical and biological datasets while identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and two years of experience in data analytics, statistical modeling, or machine learning, or a Master's or PhD degree
• Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, Python, or MATLAB
• Experience conducting data analysis, including data validation and hypothesis testing
• Ability to communicate and present research findings effectively
• Experience with machine learning and AI is preferred
