Research Director, State Licensed

Job Summary

Owning the strategic learning and measurement agenda for Large Lump Sum transfers, the full-time remote Research Director, State Licensed will manage the development of measurement infrastructure, oversee research initiatives, and support product design while leading a small team to enhance the impact of cash transfer programs.

Key responsibilities

• Set organization-wide priorities for learning and large-scale monitoring and evaluation (M&E) across LLS, District Transformation, and Cash + Coaching
• Direct the development of systems and indicators to monitor performance and impact in real-time for high-volume programming
• Provide strategic oversight for research initiatives related to cash transfer impacts and cultivate partnerships to enhance understanding of key questions

Required qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field such as economics, public policy, or social sciences
• Proven experience in managing large-scale monitoring and evaluation projects
• Strong background in research methodologies and statistical analysis
• Experience in product design and evidence-based decision-making
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams in a remote work environment
