Research Economist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Research Economist specializing in prescription drug and healthcare data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to quantitative research activities related to health policy and prescription drug research
• Design and develop analytic data files integrating various data sources, including Medicare and prescription drug data
• Conduct and supervise statistical analyses of large datasets and present results to diverse audiences

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in health services research, health economics, or a related quantitative field with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience
• In-depth knowledge of prescription drug event and pharmacy data
• Experience analyzing large healthcare datasets, particularly Medicare or Medicaid claims, using programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, SAS, or Stata
• Experience with domestic health policy, especially Medicare Part D or other prescription drug policies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite
