Research Engineer

Job Summary

Collaborating in a remote setting, the full-time Research Engineer will enhance models and explore innovative research directions while applying proprietary algorithms for unsupervised learning and perception challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Apply and extend proprietary algorithmic tools for large-scale unsupervised learning and perception problems
• Develop and maintain tools for deep learning experiments to introduce new functionalities or address system corner cases
• Collaborate with software and autonomous vehicle engineers to deploy algorithms on internal and customer vehicle platforms

Required qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a related field and/or 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with neural networks and frameworks such as TensorFlow and/or PyTorch
• Fluency in Python and working knowledge of C/C++ programming
• Strong interest in unsupervised learning, computer vision, and the autonomous vehicle industry
• A sense of practical optimism and comfort in a fast-paced environment
