Research Engineer for Search/IR

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Research Engineer focused on Search/IR.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain indexing infrastructure for search systems at scale
• Own the entire pipeline from data ingestion to query serving
• Develop ranking models and improve query understanding for enhanced product quality

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building large-scale search/information retrieval systems
• Hands-on experience with ranking systems and relevance scoring
• Ability to manage the full search stack, including ingestion, indexing, and serving
• Experience in maintaining freshness, deduplication, and incremental indexing
• Self-directed with a track record of designing and shipping experiments
