Research Engineer, Preparedness

Job Summary

Research Engineer, Preparedness, is a full-time position focused on developing and refining evaluations for frontier AI capabilities and risks, requiring technical expertise in machine learning and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and continuously refine evaluations for multimodal and agentic frontier AI models
• Develop robust, reusable evaluation pipelines that scale across multiple model lines and product areas
• Produce auditable technical artifacts, including evaluation reports and model cards, with high reliability and speed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, research, or a related technical role
• Proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks
• Experience in identifying, designing, and completing medium to large technical features independently
• Proven experience in software engineering practices, including version control and testing
