Research Finance Analyst II

Job Summary

Managing a portfolio of sponsored projects, the full-time Research Finance Analyst II will perform post-award financial functions, including budget analysis, invoicing, and financial reporting, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee grant-related financial functions, ensuring compliance with sponsor terms and conditions
• Review contracts and new awards to assess financial management impacts and provide feedback to administration
• Communicate with investigators and department administrators regarding the financial status of sponsored funds

Required qualifications

• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent work experience preferred
• Two to five years of relevant work experience, with a strong preference for post-award research finance experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively
• Deductive reasoning skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
