Job Summary

A company is looking for a Research Reporter for its U.S. Press Freedom Tracker.

Key Responsibilities

• Research incident submissions for inclusion in the database and verify information
• Track incidents through the editorial process from research to publication
• Maintain multiple internal datasets and organize reporting and research for the editorial team

Required Qualifications

• Five-plus years of reporting or research experience, preferably in local news and legal research
• Experience with public databases and federal/state court systems
• Ability to use open sources for identifying and verifying news stories
• Experience with datasets and database management
• Strong project management skills and a collaborative approach
