Research Scientist

Job Summary

To advance research on the mental health of LGBTQ+ young people, the full-time remote Research Scientist will collaborate with the Director of Research Science on research design, conduct complex quantitative analyses, and contribute to peer-reviewed publications and reports focused on suicidology.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative analyses of national surveys to enhance understanding of LGBTQ+ youth mental health and suicide risk factors
• Co-author manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and create accessible reports for public dissemination
• Present research findings to various stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and media outlets

Required qualifications

• PhD or equivalent with a proven track record of publishing peer-reviewed research on LGBTQ+ youth mental health and suicidology
• Expertise in quantitative analyses of survey data
• Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative relationships across diverse teams
• Strong skills in articulating complex information clearly to varied audiences
• Commitment to the mission of supporting LGBTQ+ youth and addressing mental health crises
