Research Scientist

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Research Scientist who will accelerate AI alignment research agendas, engage with the AI alignment community, and develop scalable implementations of machine learning algorithms in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre- and post-release adversarial evaluations of frontier models and develop novel attacks
• Collaborate with engineers to implement machine learning algorithms and run scientific experiments
• Propose and explore new research directions within AI safety and alignment

Required qualifications

• PhD or several years of research experience in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or statistics
• Experience leading or playing a senior role in machine learning research projects
• Ability to communicate novel methods and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
• New and under-explored AI alignment ideas
