Research Scientist I
Job Summary
To support the Policy Practice, the full-time Research Scientist I will design and execute analytical studies, contribute to project proposals and budgets, and perform statistical analyses using large healthcare databases in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute analytical studies, protocols, and methods
- Contribute to the development of concept proposals, scopes of work, and analysis plans
- Perform descriptive and advanced statistical analysis using large patient and/or claims databases
Required qualifications
- BA/BS or MA/MS in economics, mathematics, statistics, health policy, or related discipline
- 4+ years of experience in consulting, healthcare, academia, or the pharmaceutical/device industry
- Proficiency in statistical software packages such as SAS, SQL, and/or STATA
- Broad technical knowledge of health economics and policy research
- Working knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and/or econometric skills
