Research Scientist II

Job Summary

As a full-time Research Scientist II working remotely, the candidate will improve fraud detection and scoring systems for voice and IVR interactions by developing machine learning models, analyzing fraud patterns, and supporting high-priority investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and enhance fraud risk models using audio, behavioral, and metadata signals
• Analyze fraud patterns and translate findings into actionable improvements in model performance and investigation workflows
• Collaborate with engineering teams to transition successful research into production environments

Required qualifications

• Advanced Degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant quantitative field or equivalent applied research experience
• 3+ years of professional experience in machine learning, fraud detection, or related domains
• Strong Python skills with experience in research tooling and model evaluation workflows
• Hands-on experience with modern machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Foundational knowledge of fraud, identity, and consumer scams
