Research Senior Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Research Senior Technician to conduct fisheries research and assessment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys and collect biological and physical/chemical samples
• Design and implement fisheries research projects, including data collection and statistical analyses
• Assist and train less experienced colleagues and manage laboratory and research equipment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fisheries, Aquatic Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field
• Two years of fisheries sampling experience and some experience working on a research vessel
• Experience with fisheries sampling equipment and basic statistical/data management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrable written and verbal skills
