Research Senior Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Research Senior Technician to conduct and assist with fisheries research and assessment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys and collect biological and physical/chemical samples
• Design and implement fisheries research projects, including data collection and statistical analyses
• Provide training and support to less experienced colleagues and coordinate with research partners

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fisheries, Aquatic Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field
• Two years of fisheries sampling experience and some experience working on a research vessel
• Experience using and maintaining fisheries sampling equipment
• Basic statistical and data management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
