Research Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting in-depth open source research and user relationship management, the full-time Research Specialist will develop reports, organize data, and enhance knowledge management for clients focused on the Asia Pacific region, with a strong preference for candidates based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct open source research and develop reports to meet user information needs
• Build and maintain relationships with users, providing briefings and training on information-sharing tools
• Organize and manage extensive compilations of reports to facilitate user access to information

Required qualifications

• BA/BS in foreign affairs, international security, area studies, political science, governmental studies, or military experience
• Experience in international relations, strategic competition, conflict, development, law enforcement, or governance issues
• Fluent in English with strong fact-checking skills
• US citizenship and ability to acquire a security clearance
• Ability to synthesize content from various sources into clear, concise reports
