Research Student Assistant

Job Summary

Assisting with research initiatives, the part-time hourly Research Student Assistant will support the Principal Investigator in the Department of Emergency Medicine by participating in study activities, including participant recruitment and data collection, while gaining knowledge in emergency medicine and public health.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in project activities such as participant recruitment, consent, and data collection through various communication methods
• Develop standard operating procedures and training materials for research studies
• Engage in meetings with the study team to enhance program development and improvement

Required qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of High School Degree
• Currently enrolled in Undergraduate or Graduate studies at Rutgers University
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including word processing and Excel
• Experience or interest in human subjects research and patient interaction
• Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills with the ability to work independently
