Job Summary
To support ongoing behavioral sciences research, the part-time Research Student Assistant will engage in data collection and analysis related to sleep studies, requiring participation in various shifts throughout the summer and potentially into the school year.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct data collection and entry for research projects focused on circadian rhythms and sleep processes in children and adolescents
- Participate in formal training programs covering EEG techniques, polysomnographic recording, and ethical research conduct
- Collaborate with research teams to manage multiple facets of research protocols, including participant interaction and data assessments
Required qualifications
- Undergraduate enrollment with a strong interest in behavioral sciences research
- Previous coursework or lab experience in sleep or circadian rhythms is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by research protocols
- Commitment to participate in lab activities beyond the summer, if applicable
- Willingness to obtain student membership in the Sleep Research Society
