Job Summary
Supporting licensed surveyors with title and land-records research, the full-time Research Technician will conduct online and public-records research, assemble line lists, secure property access from landowners, and maintain organized project files in Fort Worth, Texas.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct online and public-records research of deeds, easements, and rights-of-way (ROW) to support survey projects
- Build and maintain accurate line lists and secure survey permission from landowners, capturing essential access information
- Maintain standardized project folder structures and prioritize research requests from project managers and survey teams
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in a research technician, landman, title abstractor, or similar role
- Proven ability to research and interpret deeds, easements, and ROW documents
- Strong understanding of land-related documents and public land records
- Experience contacting landowners for survey permission and property access
- Demonstrated ability to maintain detailed and accurate request logs and project files
