Research Technician II

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Research Technician II to work in South San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform protein purification, reconstitution, and structure determination of DNA-protein complexes using cryoEM
• Develop functional biochemical assays to assess the mechanism of action of multi-subunit protein complexes
• Utilize state-of-the-art facilities for structural biology workflows

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with experience or recent master's graduate with relevant experience
• Experience with one or more biochemical or biophysical assays (e.g., Spectrophotometric, ELISA, WB)
• Familiarity with cryoEM or mammalian cell culture functional assays is a plus
• Ability to work onsite, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm
• Available for a 12-month contract with potential for extension or conversion
