Job Summary
To advance computational fluid dynamics and multi-physics modeling for energy technologies, the full-time salaried Researcher III - Computational Fluid Dynamics will develop high-fidelity simulation cases, enhance modeling tools, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while contributing to scientific publications.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and apply high-fidelity simulation cases in tools for studying combustion in various burner geometries
- Maintain and enhance the Kynema suite of incompressible solvers, contributing new capabilities for complex applications
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to advance research objectives and integrate new functionalities
Required qualifications
- PhD in a relevant field, or a Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience
- Strong background in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and multi-physics modeling with significant project contributions
- Proven experience with high-fidelity modeling platforms and incompressible solvers
- Proficiency in scientific programming and code development, with experience maintaining complex codebases
- Excellent communication skills for presenting research findings and authoring publications
