Job Summary
Supporting various analysis efforts, the full-time Researcher III - Energy Security will conduct data assessments, develop customized demonstrations for stakeholders, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct data assessments and analyses, including writing SQL queries to extract and clean large datasets
- Identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in energy distribution systems and develop clear project documentation
- Utilize geospatial tools to analyze and visually display relevant information while tracking project deliverables
Required qualifications
- Relevant PhD, or a Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience
- Training and experience in geographic information sciences and data analysis, including proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience assessing risks and vulnerabilities within infrastructure and disaster planning
- Broad knowledge of best practices in energy security and resilience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance
