Researcher III - Energy Security

Job Summary

Supporting various analysis efforts, the full-time Researcher III - Energy Security will conduct data assessments, develop customized demonstrations for stakeholders, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct data assessments and analyses, including writing SQL queries to extract and clean large datasets
• Identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in energy distribution systems and develop clear project documentation
• Utilize geospatial tools to analyze and visually display relevant information while tracking project deliverables

Required qualifications

• Relevant PhD, or a Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience
• Training and experience in geographic information sciences and data analysis, including proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience assessing risks and vulnerabilities within infrastructure and disaster planning
• Broad knowledge of best practices in energy security and resilience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance
